Anthony Horowitz (Guionista) confirmou à Radio 5 que "The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun” vai suceder a “The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn”, um filme que vai ser realizado por Steven Spielberg e que tem a sua estreia marcada para o final deste ano. "The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun” vai ser realizado por Peter Jackson e vai levar Tintin e o Capitão Haddock até ao Peru.
